My husband, Steve, and I have two children, Ronan & Evelyn. We live in Indiana and operate a landscape contracting business. I find the increase in the cases of cancer, autism, ADHD, obesity, allergies, premature births, fertility, & Alzheimer's to be alarming. I believe a big part of these problems can be traced back to products that we use in our homes like cleaning products, personal care products, food, bedding, etc. I have become fed up with big companies not caring or taking responsibility to stop producing products that are dangerous to human beings and the environment. I am fed up with these companies using loop holes to explain away valid studies that suggest their products cause illnesses and environmental issues. I am fed up with companies advertising products as natural, green, or nontoxic when they may not be. So instead of just being fed up, I decided to gradually decrease my family’s needs for these products. I plan to clean my home of as many toxic chemicals as I can by doing it one step at a time. My first step is switching out all of our cleaning products. I am going to clean up our home and make it safer & healthier. This is the motivation behind TraceyClean.
